Hello Everybody

I am still alive and I haven't fallen off of the planet. Unfortunately (actually fortunately) I don't have a cool story to tell - like I was a hostage in Iraq for the past 82 days or I was on a top secret mission for the CIA - to explain why I've been absent from the blogging world. The only thing I can say is I've been doing actual real life things that don't exist in the blogging world. For some who have never left the blogging world for other worlds will find this hard to understand but don't lose heart because you too can go to this other world. It's almost like a parallel universe of sorts and can be entered or exited right where you are. All you have to do is take your eyes off of your computer and you will be looking at this parallel universe. To actually step foot in this parallel universe you must start interacting with something other than your monitor, keyboard, or mouse. I know that new things can be scary sometimes but I encourage you to try it. Hey, just look at me, I'm still alive and I've traversed the great chasm between our two worlds many times and for extended periods including the latest 4 month excursion from which I am now returning.

So what did I do there you might ask - well, I have been practicing my viola a lot, mainly because I had two auditions for orchestras: Charlotte, NC and Buffalo, NY. I have now taken both of them and didn't win so I'm going back to the drawing board as they say. My next audition won't be until late May so I have a little while now to prepare.

I've continued to study Greek and am now into parsing verbs (very cool). I'm trying to get hold of a Majority Text Greek New Testament but every time I order one the online store emails me about a week or two later saying that they actually don't have any in stock. :( I'll try again sometime.

I've also been reading many books but I don't have time to write about all of them. Maybe when I get an orchestra job I'll write more frequently or maybe not. I'm starting to enjoy this other, parallel universe.

P.S. Also notice the last post. I found it in my drafts and apparently forgot about ever finishing it so it's nice and short.

Thanks for the update... many people were worried, well most likely anyway.

Ummm... Should I be offended or not? Well, I have interacted with you fairly often, and since you have been on an extended excursion into the "real" world, I'll assume I must have been there also. Therefore the aforementioned comments do not not apply to me.

Good! I'm not offended!

Well, I thought about whether I would offend anyone by what I said and then I thought that if anyone was offended they probably should be and if the weren't they shouldn't be. So it all works out.
